The Function
Reporting to the Vice President, responsible for regulatory affairs, you will lead various activities related to environmental approval requirements (air, water, odour, waste disposal, and reclamation), regulatory discussions, public consultations, product quality specifications along with involvement in developing marketing opportunities for the Company’s customized products for reclamation and organic farmers. More specifically, the role includes:
- Environmental Management System (EMS) development and implementation
- Operating and maintaining of odour management plans
- Contractor management (Emissions Testing etc.)
- Environmental site inspections and facility environmental mentoring
- Health and safety roles/reporting and tracking
- Health Safety & Environment Steering Committee involvement
- Provide updates to management team on initiatives, regulatory requirements, and recommendations regarding trends resulting from regulatory changes.
Working from EarthRenew’s Calgary office, the Environmental Specialist will be the central point of contact for the Company’s environmental activities including:
- Leading the preparation and submission of environmental applications associated with maintaining and obtaining appropriate permits / approvals for the operation of the Company’s on-site units particularly in the air, water, odour, waste disposal, and reclamation including the public consultation portion of these applications and associated regulatory correspondence;
- Reviewing and commenting on research trials and demonstration project reports conducted by university and product users, , to enhance the use for the Company’s soil amendment products;
- Assisting in the development of communication material for: public consultations on environmental issues; use of Company products; educational and informational seminars on product acquisition, usage and application; product marketing and sales; hosts and customers;
- Reviewing and providing feedback on product input feedstocks and finished products to ensure quality standards are achieved along with determining the physical and chemical properties of the materials involved; and
- Building and maintaining positive working relationships with the Company’s operating personnel while leading in the environmental initiatives for each operating jurisdiction

The Role
Currently reporting to the Vice President, Special Projects, and under general direction, this role will develop and define sales and customer support strategies which will maximize market penetration and revenue for our products and services, primarily in Canada.
Key accountabilities in this role are:
- Place EarthRenew product in the field, including demonstration and field trials;
- To meet increased organic revenue growth targets;
- Ensure the development of key customer relationships with all prospective and existing clients;
- Ensure the effective management of business relationships with all customers, including contractual, invoicing and cash collection and issue resolution;
- Develop and present user workshops and seminars;
- Review pricing structure, policy and strategies to maximize revenue. Assist in the process for the creation and maintenance of pricing strategies and price book;
- Prepare and present sales plans and forecasts;
- Collaborating with the Visual Communications Specialist, prepare product marketing and sales material as well as lead in the sales of Company products; and
- Ensure appropriate systems and processes are in place to provide the best possible analysis and reporting capability.
The Individual
We are seeking an experienced sales professional who has the ability to influence and drive the sales and customer support initiatives. The successful candidate will possess the following credentials, skills and attributes:
- A degree/diploma in Agriculture or Environmental Science;
- Ten plus years in sales or sales and marketing roles, preferably with five or more of those years in agricultural or environmental products;
- Proven business acumen with highly developed creative and strategic abilities;
- Acquired competencies in the design and development of sales strategies;
- Experience in agriculture, land reclamation and/or remediation;
- Exceptional interpersonal skills;
- Superlative sales experience and demonstrated sales leadership capabilities;
- Effective written and verbal communication skills coupled with well-honed presentation skills;
- An acute listener;
- Excellent reporting and planning skills.

The Function
Reporting directly to the Controller, you will be accountable for the accuracy of accounting records and for all aspects of external financial reporting; while ensuring the efficient operation of the accounts payable and receivable areas. Your main focus will be on preparation of financial statements for individual entities and consolidated financial statements, initially under Canadian GAAP. You will be required to provide advice on accounting matters, ensure high internal control standards, participate in and coordinate the development of related business processes and systems and enhance the communications across departments by ensuring accurate, timely, and concise reporting and analysis.
The Individual
You possess a formal accounting designation (CA preferred) with three or more years of progressive professional accounting experience particularly in financial reporting, a substantial portion having been developed in a public company environment. You have developed the polish and maturity which allows you to communicate effectively in all directions. You also have proven skill sets in planning, coordinating and monitoring performance to meet corporate objectives. Your other key attributes include the ability to lead, innovate, and motivate a team to perform at the highest level. Preferably your computer and software skills would include Microsoft Dynamics AX. Having experience with TSX reporting and knowledge of U.S. GAAP as well as International Financial Reporting Standards would also be an asset. The Company

The Position
Reporting to the Maintenance/Operations System Coordinator, the Maintenance Person is responsible for assisting with routine and emergency maintenance work. In addition, the role is also responsible for ordering, pick-up and delivery of site supplies as well as inventory handling. By the application of common trade practices, which may include, but is not limited to, welding, metal working, machining, fitting, layout and electrical wiring, fault detection and material handling, the Millwright shall:
- Perform predictive and operational maintenance using procedures such as vibration analysis, and repair or replace defective parts when necessary
- Read diagrams and schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures
* Operate rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts
* Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts (often to within a fraction of a millimeter tolerance) - Trouble shoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, some electrical equipment of all shapes and sizes located at the Strathmore facility
The Individual
You have working experience in an agricultural environment such as feedlots, grain handling, processing plants or fertilizer production. You have a mechanical aptitude to operate, repair and maintain heavy equipment. You identify with rotating shift schedules and labor intensive work both in and out of doors. You are committed to contributing to a safe, healthy and productive work environment.
- Trade certification or diploma/degree in mechanical, power engineering or agriculture an asset;
- Minimum of three to five years of experience of physical work in a similar agriculture environment (e.g. grain handling, feed mills, grain terminals, processing plants, etc.);
- Knowledge/compliance/operation of heavy equipment and procedures;
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training

The Position
Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the Process Operator is responsible for all aspects of host site operations include loading and moving materials/manure, products and equipment and general housekeeping in the facility. It is also the responsibility of the Process Operator to conduct maintenance inspections on machine tools and/or equipment ensuring an efficient operation of production to established site targets during the shift according to health and safety policy and procedures.
- Conduct maintenance inspections on machine tools and/or equipment;
- Inspect various pieces of equipment associated with the processing unit including the power skid, hydraulic starter skid, cooler skid and the cooker and granulator to identify maintenance requirements;
- Monitor/operate equipment and associated systems in production units within standard operating conditions and limits;
- Assist in the repair and overhaul of machinery and engines;
- Develop and provide process control expertise and apply analytical and trouble-shooting skills to assist operations in identifying and solving day-to-day production problems;

The Role
Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Accountant – Intermediate supports in the preparation of external financial statements and management reporting. The main functions for this role are ensuring the accuracy of accounting data entered into the accounting system, the completion of account reconciliations and preparation of supporting information for financial reporting.
Key accountabilities in this role are:
- oversees booking of specific transactions
- prepares accruals and period end entries
- prepares bank reconciliations
- reconciles inter-company accounts
- reconciles payroll entries
- analyses and reconciles other GL accounts
- prepares and books adjusting journal entries
- manages all other aspects of the general ledger
- prepares/assists in preparation of period end schedules
- assists with preparation of financial statements
- prepares/assists in preparation of cash flow forecasts
- assists in answering auditors’ questions
The Individual
The successful candidate will possess the following credentials, skills and attributes:
- The Accountant – Intermediate will be enrolled in an intermediate to advanced level of a recognized accounting program (i.e. CGA).
- You bring an enthusiastic and results-oriented approach to the role while supporting the Assistant Controller and giving guidance to other members of the Assistant Controller’s group.
- The incumbent will have a minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience.
- High level of computer literacy, especially in MS Excel and accounting software.
- Strong Analytical skills.

The Position
Currently reporting to the Fresno-based President, you will be accountable to lead EarthRenew in various aspects of technical soil and environmental monitoring and demonstration programs related to soil management. Your initial focus will be on the chemistry, biology and physics of soils while informing and influencing others on issues such as agricultural crop production, environmental quality, soil fertility and health, human health, climate change and biodiversity. Essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Coordinating, managing and conducting research for soil, agronomic and regulatory field trials;
- Writing research reports and making presentations on findings, including scientific research papers and non-scientific client reports;
- Project management and successful execution of soil monitoring programs, environmental site assessments and remediation programs
- Preparing applications for grants and other methods of securing financial support
